Can Rastafarianism Survive As An Authentic Organization W...

CAN RASTAFARIANISM SURVIVE AS AN AUTHENTIC ORGANIZATION WITHOUT GAINING POLITICAL POWER?

Many things can be said about the Rastafarian Movement; about its trials, struggles, and triumphs.

What is new or different is the internet and its power to take the public into communities giving us a front seat into things that we have not seen before. And the same is true for the Rastafarian Movement.

What has been the Rastafarian response to the commercialization of marijuana?

While there are many more questions I think its best to narrow it down to political power!

Let us assume there is a Rastafarian community in most countries!

if there were a political directive given by an executive body what kind of power (globally) would the Rastafarian movement have?

Is the Rastafarian community missing the opportunity to realize and manifest power or is it just a response?

South Africa have more than 3 million Rastafarians making it the most populous nation for Rastafarianism. How closely have the South African movement connected to its own political experience with leaders such as Nelson Mandela?  What has happened to the constitution of South Africa over the last 30 years or so? Has South Africa left Jamaica and the Caribbean behind?

Its been alleged that while 19 year old Nzinga King was in custody a police officer cut off her dreadlocks . This has sparked a fire in Jamaica and has caught the attention of the world. Such incidents have happened several times. But perhaps this time, with the last name King and with so many issues at crossroads something significant will arise!
